After using the Nokia 6220 Classic, here I think are some of the areas for improvement:
1) The shutter sound is not able to be disabled. It should provide an option for the users to disable the shutter sound, it is too loud!
2) The option to disable red light search during focus phase.
3) The option to have a shutter button at the keypad, as currently only the shutter button can take the shutter, if there is another button at the keypad can take the shutter would be good.
4) Make the shutter button be the short cut to activate the camera.
5) The cover for the camera should be improved, it seems very fragile at the moment.
6) Improve the speed when the screen is switched from vertical to horizontal.
7) The ability to disable the log for the sms, now every single sms in or not, is being recorded together with the incoming and outgoing call.
8) Make the activation of the camera be faster.
9) No "delete all" function for the sms messages.
I will talk about it more in the coming posts.

I have recently changed to a nokia 6220 and have found the same thing you have mentioned. I really want to disable the shutter noise for the camera, or at least turn it down in volume.
I also agree there should be alternate buttons to capture photos, not just the 'capture' button.
The lens cover and switching to camera speed im not too concerned about (just yet), but all in all its a great phone that does everything i want in the size i want.
Too right, could be a 'classic' phone but the camera sound (siren), having to turn it on the side to take photos and some other stupid things, like the lack of smileys really spoils it. Not sure whether to sell it or hold out for a software update. Could be great
Re #9 (No "delete all" function for the sms messages):
in messages, Options --> Mark/Unmark --> Mark All; then Options --> Delete.
Yeah i really like this phone also..
But having the shutter sound makes it hard to take advantage of the 5mp Camera (the only reason i got it)
I understand that it is due to privacy issues, but at school we can't take pictures (permission given) without getting our phone confiscated!
and yeah i still find myself pressing the shutter button to start the camera, but with no result - the effects of having a motorola the past 5 years
It's not just this phone, nor this brand that have the shutter sounds too...I think it's the LG Viewty that cannot be switched off either..rather annoying really
Other than this, the phone is great!
